The Bolivar Point Lighthouse is a treasured landmark standing tall on Bolivar Peninsula on the Texas Gulf Coast near Galveston Island. It was built in 1872 and was in service shining every night for 60 years before being retired in May of 1933. This iconic lighthouse has survived many storms and challenges. The passage of time has taken a toll and it is in dire need of restoration. I hope to play a small part in contributing to that effort so the lighthouse will be here for generations to come. For every print sale of my Bolivar Point Lighthouse art, $10 will be donated to The Bolivar Point Lighthouse Foundation. To learn more about them visit https://www.bolivarpointlighthouse.org/.
